Just a 30-minute drive from Soča, Bovec, the adventure starts with a 40-minute hike—just enough to warm up. At the canyon entry, we suit up, go through safety instructions, and then—it’s time to jump in!
Sušec Canyon is full of fun. Slide down the waterfalls, splash into clear pools, and take on small jumps, all leading to the final challenge—a rope descent down the highest waterfall. Sušec is an open canyon, that means that if a section feels like too much, you can always skip it. In the canyon, keep an eye out for frogs, salamanders, and maybe even a snake.
After about 1.5 hours in the family canyon Sušec, we head back to the van. Expect big smiles and non-stop stories as the kids relive every slide and splash—this is the kind of adventure in Slovenia they’ll be talking about long after the trip is over.
